Winter sport in St. Anton

Although St. Anton is world-renowned for Alpine ski sport, it has also in the meantime made a name for itself in Nordic sports. Awarded the ‘slope seal of approval’ from the state of Tirol, the 40 kilometre route network in the region of St. Anton is also one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing areas in Austria. Whether it’s skating or classic, for beginners or for professionals, cross-country skiing on the Arlberg leaves no wish to be desired. There is also plenty of tobogganing fun on offer. Numerous toboggan runs, among them the 4 km natural toboggan run from Gampen, invite you to have a go at a daredevil race down the mountain.

The impressive mountainscape of the Arlberg is also enticing for countless tourers to St. Anton. Away from the social get-together on the ski pistes there are quite a few mountain peaks and untouched slopes for ski tours. Whether it is ice-skating, curling, winter hiking or carriage rides, there is no limit to winter fun in St. Anton. Those who are looking for more relaxation should take a look at the indoor swimming pool and the wellness area. And those who don’t want to forgo summer sports during winter will be delighted at the arl.rock leisure arena. Here you can play tennis, squash, volleyball, football and climbing, amongst others.
